How Becoming Royal Has Changed Meghan Markle

Are we the only ones who dreamed of becoming a princess when we were little girls? Well, if you don’t already know, actress Meghan Markle is currently living that dream. On May 19th she will marry Prince Harry at the Windsor Castle in England. Before she got engaged to a member of the royal family, Meghan was a regular Hollywood actress working on “Suits”. We think Meghan’s style and beauty evolution from her “Deal or No Deal” days all the way to her engagement is fascinating, so we’re taking a look at how becoming a royal has changed her over the past few years.

Meghan made her TV debut as a briefcase girl on the game show “Deal or No Deal”. Back in 2006 Meghan was rocking a voluminous blow out and a timeless glossy nude lip.

In 2007 Meghan arrived at the Primary Action Golden Globe Suite looking sophisticated in a black and white dress. And yes, this was actually a fashionable outfit back in 2007, believe it or not. She let her natural beauty shine and wore very minimal makeup. Can we all take a second to appreciate how perfect her lashes were?!

A couple of years later in 2009 Meghan was a bronzed goddess at the DPA Gift Lounge. Once again she did not have much makeup on and instead relied on her gorgeous tan skin and some blush to accentuate her good looks.

In 2010 Meghan embraced the pin-straight hair trend and rocked it at the Some Kind-a Gorgeous Style and Beauty Lounge in Los Angeles. She also definitely got into some highlighter in 2010 and paired it with sparkling pale pink lips.

In 2011 Meghan landed the role of Rachel Zane on the USA show “Suits”. Her character is a paralegal who eventually becomes an attorney, and that sophistication is reflected in her style while on the show. Meghan rocked a lot of skirt suits and classically blown-out hair.

Meghan turned up the heat in 2012 at the Producer’s Ball in a hot pink dress. It seems like her hair has gotten a bit longer, and she also used eyeliner and concealer to make her eyes really pop.

Meghan turned her glam up a notch in 2013. She attended a New York Fashion Week show wearing this sophisticated black outfit. Her hair was casually curled and she paired her nude lip gloss with a slightly smokey eye.

Meghan rocked a daring look at a Miu Miu event back in 2014. She tried something new with her makeup, rocking teal eyeshadow along with her normal black eyeliner and mascara. We love this look on Meghan and think it makes her look so much younger!

A couple of years later in 2016 Meghan was looking sophisticated yet sultry at a “Suits” event in New York City. This was right before rumors of Harry and Meghan dating began to surface, and we think Meghan was beginning to look the part. Her skin looks so gorgeous that we thought she was airbrushed at first glance and that red lipstick is just perfect! She’s definitely beginning to look more regal.

Meghan and Prince Harry made their first public appearance together in 2017 at the Invictus Games in Toronto. Although this was their first appearance together, they had to sit 18 seats apart due to royal protocol. Meghan looked elegant in a monochromatic burgundy outfit with loose curls in her hair. Her makeup was quite simple with some nude lipstick and lots of black eyeliner.

In December 2017 Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially announced their engagement. They took beautiful engagement photos in the Sunken Garden of Kensington Palace. Meghan is absolutely stunning in her sheer embroidered dress. Her hair is voluminous, long and smooth and she’s wearing smokey brown eyeshadow with black eyeliner.

And finally, we have Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in 2018. They attended a memorial service together and were actually allowed to sit next to each other! Meghan has a gorgeous pre-marriage glow about her and we love that low bun with a few face-framing strands of hair hanging down. It looks like part of being a member of the royal family means that you can’t try crazy makeup looks, as Meghan always seems to go with a subtle look.
