Meghan Markle’s Bridal Look From The Royal Wedding

Dun dun da dun…the day we have all been waiting for has finally arrived. Meghan Markle’s and Prince Harry’s royal wedding took place today in the St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in England.

Meghan looked fabulous in her Givenchy wedding dress, but we want to focus on her hair and makeup. There was a lot of anticipation around Meghan’s makeup look, after it was revealed that she would being doing it herself with the help of four of her closest friends. Turns out that was not the case. Celebrity makeup artist Daniel Martin was named the man behind the controversial look that brought the world to a standstill. There is a lot of back and forth about whether her look was suitable for the importance of the occasion. Our editors at American Beauty Star think it was an expression that perfectly encapsulated both modern and traditional beauty, and we’re absolutely smitten.

It was simple, elegant and charming. Meghan’s skin was glowing, but that’s far from the usual. The light application of foundation put her freckles on full display, showing us her natural and effortless beauty in all its glory. Her subtle pink lip, black liner, smokey eye, and bold brows were such a modest yet signature look. Fun fact: the look was created with all Dior and Honest Beauty products. Both of which are brands that her makeup artist works closely with.

Her hair was done by celebrity hairstylist Serge Normant. Serge gave her a low-slung hairstyle with a middle part. It was a casual  choice but we didn’t expect anything different. Remember, she is all about the messy bun (definitely a girl after our hearts). Just like her makeup look, her hair was chic, simple and classic.

Meghan looked effortlessly beautiful, and although her hair and makeup may not have been over-the-top glamorous, she looked like a timeless, elegant princess.

Congrats Harry and Meghan!
