A Bronze & Gold Makeup Look for Olive Skin
This Bronze & Gold Makeup Look is Perfect for Olive Skin
We asked Paris-based makeup artist, Mellissa Ferndandes, to create a bronze and gold makeup look for olive skin. With the holidays upon us, it is critical that you nail a
smokey eye look that can work for all your holiday parties. Whether you feel like dressing up at the office, or have an office holiday party to crash, this look is perfect for girls with olive skin. Read further as Mellissa walks us through how she created the perfect bronze and gold makeup look for olive skin.
I am so thrilled to write this article for American Beauty Star! If my summer tan carries through to winter, I love to play it up with bronze and gold tones. They are oh-so-flattering on tanned skin and give a heavenly glow! Not to mention, we’re seeing this makeup look on many celebrities and top models.
To start, I even out my complexion by lightly dusting bronzing powder all over. Try to not go over-the-top with contouring! For this makeup look, I used the L’Oreal True Match Foundation and NARS Laguna Bronzing Powder.
STEP 1
Apply a cream gold eye shadow all over the eyelids using a flat eye shadow brush. Blend the edges for a smooth look. I used: Kiko Water Eye Shadow.
STEP 2
Apply a kohl eyeliner on the outer edges of the eyelid and on the lower lash line; smudge it for a smokey look. I used: Makeup Forever Black Kohl Pencil.
STEP 3
Apply bronze eye shadow all over and smoke it out until you get a very smudgy look. Don’t forget to apply it on the lower lash line. I used: Makeup Forever Artist Shadow.
STEP 4
Add a nude lipstick, with gold highlighter on your cheek bones, and you are ready to shine!
