Beyonce Inspires a New Coachella Makeup Look

How to Recreate this Coachella Makeup Look Worn by Beyoncé

This past weekend, Beyoncé invented a new Coachella makeup look and Coachella itself. The end. Kidding! Just in case you live under a rock or don’t care about these things, Beyoncé headlines everyone’s favorite trust fund baby desert festival, Coachella. Not only did her performance snatch our lives, but so did her makeup and outfits! She paid homage to Spike Lee’s classic movie School Dayz with flawless skin and glittery lids in true college girl style.

The creator of Beyoncé’s Coachella makeup look and American Beauty Star mentor, Sir John, described her look as “the coolest girl on campus, meets Greek goddess,” and we are in complete agreement! Because we know you’re dying to recreate this look, we rounded up all the products you need to pull of this cool schoolgirl vibe.

Body

Recently, Sir John told Elle Magazine, “My new favorite product is AllEven London Colour Shield; it is a super lightweight aerosol airbrush body concealer. It literally looks like your skin is HD airbrushed without it being too obvious. I sprayed the shade Amber all over her body 30 minutes before she got dressed, with a focus on legs and cleavage. I also gave her face a light spray as it really evens out the complexion. It’s so lightweight, it doesn’t even look like makeup. The great thing about this product is it doesn’t transfer. So, when she’s changing her clothes so many times it doesn’t come off in between.”

Face

Would you believe us if we told you that Beyoncé’s flawless Coachella makeup look included foundation that costs less than $25?! Sir swears by RCMA’s Color Process Foundation and says it is the only thing that will last onstage. Another pro-tip Sir taught us was that you should skip moisturizer if you want your foundation to last longer.

Eyes

A Coachella makeup look is hardly complete without some form of glitter. Bey’s glittery eyelids took her look to a level of fun we all had watching her! Sir John said he mixed multiple glitters from Lemonhead to get the perfect concoction. Before applying the glitters he used a terracotta eye shadow as a base, then finished up the look with MAC’s Fluidline Eyeliner and Lash Paradise Mascara from L’oreal Paris.

Bronzer

If you’re going to tan while partying or in her case, performing, in the desert, you might as well glow while doing it! To give the queen that sun kissed look, Sir John used Tom Ford’s Bronzing Powder to add more dimension to her face. Those Creole genes were certainly poppin’, baby!

Lips

To stick with Bey’s college girl vibe, Sir John chose a soft pink lip to keep the attention on her eyes. One of Sir’s favorite lip products is the L’oreal Paris’ Pro Last Lip Color because it stays put all night long.
