During the 2018 American Music Awards, a-list ladies gave us their take on icy blue eye shadow. In a lot of ways, this cool hue can go very wrong, but these ladies showed us that a little goes a long way! We recap some of our favorites.

How gorgeous does Busy look?! Her metallic silver and blue eye shadow flatters her complexion and makes her eyes pop even more. She used clips to pull her blonde curls away from her face, which allowed her makeup to really steal the show.

Halsey

Halsey’s take on this icy trend is flawless and helps to balance out the purple in her dress and her hair. Are we the only ones considering getting a lavender pixie cut after seeing this gorgeous look…?

Ashlee Simpson

Ashlee Simpson went a bit darker with navy blue eye shadow that matched her navy sequined dress perfectly. She brought the drama with a smokey cat eye and completed the look with a sophisticated top knot and nude lipstick.

Taylor Swift

We truly think that Taylor has never looked better. While her icy blue eye shadow look is more subtle, her flawless skin and detailed eye makeup is swoon-worthy. Instead of black eyeliner, Taylor went with a blue pigment for her signature cat eye. She completed the look with an effortlessly messy (yet perfect) updo and soft pink lipstick.
