5 Makeup Brands to Support This Pride Month

Every Month is Pride Month for these Makeup Brands

Every month should be Pride Month but that’s neither here nor there! Each year, cities throughout the world recognize June as Pride Month. Just in case you’re not sure what we mean by “pride”, it’s a celebration of all people who fall on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. If you’ve never had the opportunity to attend any Pride festivities, just know that it’s a gay old time! Pun intended. One of the things that stands out most during this month is the beauty in everyone, no matter their gender or orientation. We believe that diversity is not just a trend and beauty is for everyone. To honor that, we rounded up a few makeup brands that support the LGBTQIA+ communities.

Jecca Blac

#MakeupHasNoGender is Jecca Blac’s founding belief. This universal makeup brand was created by makeup artist, Jessica Blackler, who had the vision to make products that are inclusive. Jessica wants everyone to “be confident, be creative, be you” while wearing her products. When we say that her products are inclusive, we really mean it! If you’re hitting the streets this Pride Month and want to cover up your beard shadow, consider Jecca Blac’s Correct and Conceal palette for “improved beard coverage”. Now that is how you do inclusive beauty!

NOTO Botanics

Like Jessica Blackler, NOTO Botanics founder, Gloria Noto, has roots as a professional makeup artist. Feeling displeased with the amount of chemicals found in beauty products, Gloria started NOTO as a solution. She sought to not only provide a solution to that problem, but tp present a visual identity of what wellness and inclusivity look like. Gloria didn’t just stop there. To bolster her mission, Gloria created the Agender Oil which as an all-purpose oil that can be used anywhere on your body or hair. This product is fully non profit and all sales proceeds go towards organizations that support the LGBTQIA+ communities and environment. This Pride Month, consider trying out this gender-fluid makeup brand that creates products for people like you in mind!

Fluide

As mentioned, every month should be Pride Month, and we get the feeling Fluide agrees. Fluide “makes makeup for him, her, them, everyone so you can celebrate YOU every day of the entire year.” Fluide creates colorful, cruelty-free makeup for all gender expressions, identities, and skin tones. To connect with the LGBTQIA+ communities even more, they named their lip and nail shades after queer spaces around the globe. They’re not just here for profit; they’re here to raise awareness and support. 5% of all sales proceeds go to organizations that support health and legal rights of the LGBTQIA+ communities

Milk Makeup

Milk Makeup was born at a creative studio in New York City. They believe in good ingredients create an epic payoff, which is why all of their products are cruelty-free, paraben-free, and 100% vegan! Milk sees personal style and experimentation as the ultimate forms of expression. Pride Month is all about self-expression, so we are happy to get behind a makeup brand that promotes it.

Sinful Colors

Nothing quite expresses who you are (not) than your choice in nail polish. For Pride Month 2017, Sinful Colors teamed up with Albanian singer, Era Istrefi to create a rainbow collection of fun and flair. This year, it’s business as usual with their loud and proud collection of nail lacquer suited for everyone.
