Our Favorite Fenty Looks Rihanna Wore So Far
It’s ugly until Robyn Rihanna Fenty wears it. If you’re on the fashion circuit, you’ve probably seen that quote several times while browsing Instagram. Just in case you haven’t heard, Rihanna launched a fashion maison with LVMH. Simply called Fenty, the luxury house carries women’s apparel, shoes, and accessories – all the things a fashion girl needs. Since launching on May 19, Rihanna has been on the promo trail. From Fenty pop up shops in Paris and NYC, to her appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, and last night at the BET Awards, Rihanna has been a walking advertisement for all things Fenty!
Ever since she switched up her look in 2007 for her Good Girl Gone Bad era, Rihanna has been known as much for her edgy, showy fashion choices as she has been known for her hair. Although she only just launched her fashion house, Rihanna has switched up her hair as much as she switched her outfits, and we’re absolutely here for it!
Starting with her killer look at the 2019 BET Awards, let’s recap some of our favorite Rihanna in all things Fenty moments thus far.
Femme Fatal Tease
To present Mary J. Blige with the Lifetime Achievement Award, Rihanna wore a full leather Fenty pantsuit, with shoes to match. While we are still catching ourselves from the Poetic Justice box braids she rocked at her NYC pop up, she switched it up on us by debuting a red half up/half down ‘do. Dare we say that the Loud era is back?! Fans everywhere are speculating that a new album is indeed album… although they’ve been doing that for about three years now.
Black Chiney
If you’re not from the Caribbean or don’t listen to dance hall reggae, you may or may not get the Black Chiney reference. In any event, after the BET Awards, Rihanna slipped into another Fenty look – an oriental print maxi slip dress with a train. Rih kept her hair and makeup the same. As always, her makeup is fresh with a sex kitten-esque vibe that is on brand for Miss Rihanna. A subtle smokey cat eye, rosy cheeks, and pink glossy lips are a bit of a signature makeup look for her at this point.
A Pop of Pink
For the launch of her 6-19 Fenty drop in NYC, Rihanna wore a fuschia satin slip dress with matching heels and lips. It is not unusual for Rihanna to have a pop of color on her lips while keeping the rest of her makeup neutral af. As mentioned, she debuted Poetic Justice box braids that had everyone talking and scrambling to get in their braider’s chair this past weekend! We love a monochrome look as much as we love hot pink for the summer. Perhaps what makes this look even more punchy is that bright set under her eyes! It brought out her hazel eyes, rosy pink cheeks, and bright pink lips. This fun and flirty look has #hotgirlsummer written all over it – expect to see your favorite fast fashion retailer recreating it like yesterday.
Feeling Godly
For her Fenty launch in Paris, Rihanna wore an off-white corset blazer dress and nude sandals from her eponymous line. Rih gave us major Brigit Bardot tease with high teased hair, natural makeup, and fiery red nails. Denim on Denim Mami
It has to be known that Rihanna is the queen of denim on denim looks! For her Fenty launch in Paris, Rihanna wore a denim corset dress from her eponymous line. There may be no better lip color to wear with a killer denim look than red. Keeping attention on her red lips and blazer dress, Rihanna wore her hair slicked back with curls for a little va-voom.
