Full Brows Were a Thing at the 2018 MTV Awards

These Beauties Who Attended the 2018 MTV Awards Prove Why Full Brows are Always Trending

The 2018 MTV Awards might be behind us, but we can’t get these beauty looks out of our heads! Believe it or not, MTV isn’t just for videos (to Justin Timberlake’s disappointment, no less) – they also air original movies and TV shows. On Monday, some of our favorites made their rounds on the red carpet and we couldn’t help but to notice one thing they all had in common – full brows! By no means are full brows new; our European counterparts have been rocking full, bushy brows for quite some time now. However, it is refreshing to live in an age where we are ditching overly tweezed, waxed, and groomed brows for a more full, face framing brow! If there was a category for best beauty look, these ladies would win hands down. Scroll down to see our picks and take notes.

Mandy Moore

The This Is Us actress, is showed us “this is her” with her everlasting beauty! Clearly Mandy Moore found the Fountain of Youth because she looks the same as she did since she emerged on the scene 16 years ago with her starring role in A Walk to Remember! For the 2018 MTV Awards, she rocked a greenish metallic eye shadow look that we loved. The metallic shadow coupled with her black eyeliner, flirty lashes, and full brows made for a bold look that brought out the hint of green in her eyes. Who doesn’t love a brunette with low lights? Many pulled her hair into a low ponytail with a middle part for a classy look all-around. Simply put, we want moore looks like this, Mandy!

Zendaya

Oh Zendaya, how do you do it? We don’t think this girl has ever woken up on the wrong side of the bed. Ever. She is constantly glowing and showing out! A very natural beauty, it’s no wonder Peter Parker shot webs out of his hands to show off in front of her! Zendaya doesn’t need to do much to look good. For the 2018 MTV Awards, she proved that by rocking this makeup, no makeup look and a slick wet hair moment. Zendaya committed a former fashion faux pas of matching your eye shadow to your outfit when she wore brown and orange tones to match her brown leather dress. Per the theme of this post, we are here for every hair of Zendaya’s brows! Whether she used Sir John’s magic trick to keep her brows in place or is just that lucky, just know that we’re super jealous, okay?! Some girls have it all, don’t they?

Jasmine Sanders

We love dark full brows against blonde hair. Model and influencer Jasmine Sanders totally rocked this high end look for the 2018 MTV Awards. Jasmine was on trend in her egg yolk yellow suit, 90s oval sunglasses that barely covered her piercing hazel eyes, and matte makeup look. With a look this trendy, you barely have to do much to your hair, which is why Jasmine pulled hers into a low ponytail with two tresses hanging on either side to frame her face. 10/10, wouldn’t mind seeing a look like this again.

Alison Brie

There’s nothing wrong with filling in your brows for a full brow moment; Alison Brie did just that with her retro 80s beauty look. Alison snatched her hair into a high ponytail, swiped metallic jade shadow on her creases, and touch of matte pink lipstick on her lips. While this look could have gone the costume route very easily, she kept it classy by ditching jewelry altogether.

Katherine Langford

This Australian actress gave us more than 13 Reasons Why we should love her futuristic makeup look! We get it, purple eye shadow and eyeliner are not the easiest to pull off, but Katherine made it look like so much fun! She kept her look fashionable and rebellious by wearing her hair pulled into a messy low ponytail with a large black bow and keeping the rest of her face neutral. Of course we can’t overlook her full brows. Sure, they’re not as thick as Zendaya’s, but we loved them all the same.

Madelaine Petsch

Red hair is great. It’s rare, and therefore superior.” Augusten Burroughs knew exactly what he was talking about when he referenced redheads because Madelaine was simply superior last night! Madelaine brought the heat and didn’t have to apply much effort in doing so and that’s what makes her look so effective. She wore her hair partially straight, with a side part, and waves at the end that screamed “sorry, I’m late.” For her eyes, she did the most redhead thing we know and wore black winged eyeliner over her baby pink eye shadow. Thankfully, she ditched her usual bright red lipstick and opted for a nude lip instead. This type of glam is so versatile, you can wear it on a red carpet, for date night, or just on a regular day when you want to spruce up a bit!

Zazie Beetz

Zazie Beetz’s 2018 MTV Awards look was what natural beauty looks are made of. This stunner let her natural hair and beauty do their own thing and we are living for it! If you zoom in, you will see that Zazie’s full brows are not overly groomed yet they still look perfect. Her subtle smokey eye and nude looks pulled this carefree black girl look together perfectly. Nothing beetz it, truly!

Halsey

Finally, we saw G-Eazy smiling extra big at the 2018 MTV Awards, and now we understand why! His girlfriend, Halsey, looked magnificent! She is constantly changing her look based on how she’s feeling. This time, she was feeling a blonde, slicked back pony for her hair with a matching red lip! Full brows and a snazzy red dress pulled this killer look together and made her one of the best dressed for the night.
