2018 Billboard Music Awards Red Carpet Style
Just in Case You Missed the 2018 Billboard Music Awards
The 2018 Billboard Music Awards was a showing of looks and life, honey! Music industry “it” girls and baddies slayed the red carpet with impeccable style, beauty, and grace. We rounded up a few of our favorite looks from the night so that you could share in enjoyment. Prepare to have your life gathered!
Camila wore a black and white color block dress that was quite interesting. The fringe skirt detailing was such an unexpected move for this dress, but we love it. To play up this fun, flirty look, Camila wore her hair pulled into a low side ponytail with brow grazing bangs that drew attention to her eyes. Camila kept her makeup fairly simple and focused on a sexy, peachy pout that complimented her look perfectly.
For the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, Hailey ditched the pink hair she wore to the Met Gala. Instead, she gave up major summer hair inspo by rocking the most quintessential summer ‘do there is – the wavy bob. Hailey’s dirty roots and blonde tresses popped against her sun kissed skin! Whether or not it’s a spray tan or she truly spent some time lounging in the sun, we can’t help but to gawk at her glow! The statuesque babe wore a sparkling gold plunging v-neck dress with power shoulders. Keeping in theme with her “trophy wife” look, she wore a sliver of gold on her eyelids, heavy mascara, and a nude lip. 10/10!
Is Ashlee having a major comeback moment or what?! The blonde bombshell rocked a see through black dress that reminded us of something Cher would wear in the 70s. The flowers on the dress were strategically placed to hide her precious parts. To play up this daring, boho chic look, Ashlee wore her hair part down the middle and wavy. This look would have been incomplete without a smokey eye and Ashlee knew that! Once again, a smokey eye is best paired with a nude lip like Ashlee’s.
Another interesting black dress moment came from Halsey. The singer sported an 80s style dress that included a bodycon mini dress and attached ruffle skirt for the drama! To make this look more dramatic, Halsey wore a dramatic fuchsia monochrome eye shadow look with rouge cheeks. Not many can pull that off, but she did it effortlessly. She pulled her hair into a low ponytail and left a few face framing tresses hanging for an all-around grunge look.
Speaking of monochrome looks, Alyson Stoner took a page from Prince’s book when she wore her satin purple suit! As mentioned, ultraviolet is Pantone’s color of the year and Alyson is executing in perfect form. To take the edge off this look, she lined her under eyes with matching purple eyeliner and swiped a sliver of lilac over her lids. When taking inspiration from menswear, the best way to wear your hair is in a ponytail, especially if you’re wearing a suit. Alyson did just that and pulled her hair into a low ponytail, braided down the middle.
Taylor Swift made her first red carpet appearance in two years at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards! Did we love her look? Not so much, but it was good to see her anyway. Taylor wore an pink embellished one shoulder gown with a thigh high slit. She pulled her ash blond hair into a messy, low bun with side swept bangs. Not one to get too fussy with her makeup, Taylor wore a delicate smokey eye and rouge on her lips for an ethereal look. Watch Taylor’s complete beauty evolution here.
They say the best revenge is looking good. Jenna Dewan was looked sultry and strong on the red carpet! She ditched her signature lob for a shorter, sharper symmetrical, chin length bob. She paired her leather mini dress with a bold smokey eye that shimmered with gold accents. To keep this look sexy, she wore pink glossy lips. Channing Tatum, who?
The days of Christina Aguilera piling on the cake seem to be long gone. Instead, she can be seen rocking classic makeup no makeup looks, like this one from the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. Her pinstriped, off-shoulder, blazer style gown was an unexpected style choice; you either loved it or hated it. She kept this look classy by pulling her platinum blonde tresses in a sleek high bun.
Newcomer Dua Lipa took her turn at rocking Pantone’s 2018 color of the year, ultraviolet, and she looked amazing doing it! Since coming on the scene, Dua has put on camps for how to wear the chine length bob. For this look, she wore hers slicked back with a deep side part for a high end, editorial vibe to to her look. She wore full brows, metallic purple eye shadow, dramatic winged eyeliner, and sheer gloss for a timeless look.
