Real Catholic School Girls Wish They Could Pull Off These 2018 Met Gala Looks

The 2018 Met Gala was held last night and it was everything a Catholic school girl ever dreamed of. From racy, rebellious fashion, to smoldering hot beauty looks, Sister Mary Patrick is somewhere thanking sweet baby Jesus that the girls showed up and showed out this year! Fashion’s biggest night was co-chaired by Rihanna, Amal Clooney, and Donatella Versace under the theme, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”. Scroll to see some of the looks that were simply angelic and down right fiery! Let us know your favorites in the comment section.

Kendall Jenner

Not to be cliche, but Kendall Jenner was an angelic vision in white at the 2018 Met Gala. While she didn’t go full costume, her look was still as stunning and fashionable as she naturally is. The top model wore her hair slicked back into a low ponytail, parted down the middle; with light makeup. Her lined eyes, rosy cheeks, and glossy nude lips gave us high fashion cherubim vibes and we are here for it!

SZA

The 2018 Met Gala was Sza’s first appearance during fashion’s biggest night out. Just like her music, Sza’s look was every bit of whimsical! She stayed true to her signature style by rocking that big, tousled hair that everyone’s come to love topped with a gold halo crown. Her metallic blue eye shadow and burnt orange cheeks were the right amount of drama you need for a red carpet look. As for the gold teardrops? We’re not too sold on them, but hey… it’s a costume gala. Anything goes.

Gabrielle Union

Chartreuse or any form of yellow is always a good idea, no? Gabrielle Union-Wade ditched the over-the-top costume and went for a monochromatic look. She added some drama to her look with a smokey eye and sleek top knot. Can we just agree that nude is the only lip to pair with a dramatic eye shadow look?

Amber Valletta

In yet another simple but effective look, Amber Valetta was the quintessential rebellious Catholic school girl. She wore a black sequined mini dress with an exaggerated shoulder – very high society. Her ankle strap pumps were just the right amount of “sex”, while her single chandelier earring played up her grunge vibe. Amber kept her hair and makeup simple with a low pony, earthy smokey eyes, and nude lips.

Bella Hadid

Can Isabella Hadid do any wrong?! By the looks of her 2018 Met Gala garb, absolutely not! The top model channeled her inner dominatrix by mixing vinyl and matte leather. She was the Catholic Ice Princess and we’re here for it! She kept her makeup minimal yet dewy. Icy eye shadow sat at the corners of her eyes and made them pop; her cheeks blushed pink, and her lips shine with clear gloss. 10/10!

Zoë Kravitz

Black may or may not have been the color of the night! Zoë Kravitz looked absolutely stunning! She pulled her smedium box braids into a low bun, and amped up her makeup look with strong brows, spicy, copper eye shadow and blush.

Amber Heard

When you want to make a statement, you wear red, duh! Amber Heard rocked one of the more interesting looks of the night. Like many others who attended the 2018 Met Gala, Amber wore a gold headpiece that complimented her gown perfectly. She kept her makeup as ethereal as her headpiece with gold eye shadow, rosy cheeks, a bold vamp lip, and of course, dewy skin! Just in case you thought those were blonde streaks through her hair, Amber painted her hair gold to match her headpiece. Now that’s commitment!

Rihanna

Last, but not least, was one of the co-hosts for the gala, Rihanna. Now, everyone knows that the Met Gala is when the singer, fashion icon, and entrepreneur really comes alive. As always, she did not disappoint! Rihanna gave us “your grace”, papal realness and we are gagged! To add even more drama to her decadent look, Rihanna wore silvery grey smokey eye shadow, silver highlighter, pink blush, and frosty pink lips! Once again, perfect.
