Celebs Show Out for the Royal Wedding
A-listers Serve A-List Looks for the Royal Wedding
The royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry was this weekend and A-list celebs turned out in droves! We stayed glued to our phones, laptops, and TVs to see what we could from the star studded, royal affair just so we could share with you in case you missed it.
For starters, 600 people pulled out their Sunday’s best to see the lovebirds exchange vows and they looked damn good doing so! If you know anything about British affairs, you know that you’re not fully dressed without a fascinator or some sort of decadent headpiece. As per usual, fascinators, headpieces, and more were worn in various styles and colors. Keeping in season with the Spring season, pastels and bold colors were on full display for this royal wedding and we are inspired!
Scroll down as we recap some of our favorite looks from Meghan and Harry’s special day.
Priyanka Chopra
Pastels? In Spring? Absolutely groundbreaking! Indian actress Priyanka Chopra wore a lilac skirt suit with a matching fascinator. To compliment this soft look, Priyanka opted for a light, metallic purple smokey eye and matte mauve lips. This makeup look was done by celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff, and it was said to be inspired by looks from Prince and Rihanna!
Side note: Did you know purple is associated with power and luxury? It represents dignity and extravagance.
Amal Clooney
The stunning human rights activist, lawyer, and wife of George Clooney was a vision in a yellow monochromatic look. When you wear yellow, there’s no need to go over-the-top with your makeup look because the yellow speaks for itself. Amal opted for a softer makeup look that focused on her brows, cheeks, and lips. Swipes of pink on her cheeks and lips popped through the net that covered more than half of her face. Her bold, dark eyebrows brought out her wavy, luminous stresses.
Side note: The color gold can be used to depict love, compassion, and prosperity.
Serena Williams
Serena Williams took a break from her busy tennis schedule to attend the nuptials in England. While there was much discussion about Meghan’s mom wearing her natural locs (as she should), Williams couldn’t care less as she sported twists pulled into a high ponytail. We cannot be the only ones who are gaga over Serena’s naturally full brows! Seriously, these are the brows everyone wants. Serena let her brows do the talking as usual and sported playful, romantic pink hues makeup. Her metallic pink eye shadow, rosy cheeks, and nude lip complimented each other perfectly.
Side note: Pink can be used to depict femininity, tenderness and sweetness.
Victoria Beckham
The always posh former Spice Girl was killing it, as expected. Victoria Beckham is no stranger to royal weddings, so we knew she would make the list. Victoria kept her makeup simple, yet elegant. Flirty eyelashes, a subtle smokey eye, and glossy nude lips were the highlight of her look. With a face as gorgeous as hers, you don’t need much to make you look beautiful.
Color Tip of The Day: Dark blue can represent richness.
Abigail Spencer
Meghan Markle’s former “Suits” costar, Abigail Spencer, gave us major vintage 60s vibes for her royal wedding attire. Her red lips and smokey eye paired well with her navy polka dot dress.
Color Tip of The Day: In addition to richness, dark blue can represent intelligence.
