Ocean’s 8 Leading Ladies Rock the Red Carpet

The Ladies of Ocean’s 8 are Our New Favorite Girl Gang

In one week, the leading ladies of Ocean’s 8 will rock the silver screen and we can’t wait for it! We live for a good girl gang, girl boss moment, and this predominantly female cast is just what the doctor ordered. In honor of the upcoming Summer premiere, we decided to highlight some of the best looks from Ocean’s 8 leading ladies over the years.

Rihanna

It’s no secret that Rihanna invented fashion. The singer, turned style icon, and beauty mogul is a “Jane of All Trades”. While Rihanna isn’t seen on the big screen often, we are looking forward to her role as Nine Ball in Ocean’s 8. For the after party of the much anticipated movie, Rihanna wore this elegant metallic olive green dress that she spilled out of, gracefully, no less! Known to keep her makeup understated, Rihanna opted for a punch red lip that was likely “Stunna” lip paint from her Fenty Beauty makeup line. Her bright red lips matched her red nail polish; her bronze and gold smokey eye complimented her beautiful hazel eyes. One might argue that a top knot or any sort of ponytail is the best way to show off a striking red lip, but what do we know?

Sandra Bullock

For the film premiere, Sandra Bullock, who plays Debbie Ocean for in Ocean’s 8, rocked a pkayful feathery number. While Sandra wears more scaled back looks, this look was a nice departure for her. Sandra kept her makeup fairly simple, with heavy mascara, lined under eyes, rosy pink lips, and cheeks. To frame her face, she wore her parted down the middle, pulled into a low bun, with playful tresses that showed off her low lights.

Mindy Kaling

For her role in Ocean’s 8, Mindy Kaling plays Amita. At the film’s premiere, Mindy was demure in an all black look. She went for a dramatic smokey eye with a red glossy lip – the type of drama you expect with a black dress. Just in time for Summer, she added auburn low lights to her thick tresses which she wore straightened and part down the middle. Classy.

Sarah Paulson

For the Ocean’s 8, Sarah Paulson, who plays Tammy, rocked a neon green frock with bright pink lips. Her look was as flamboyant as it was understated. Sarah wore her short blonde streaked hair pinned back with a bit of a wet look that we’re seeing more of these days. To keep all the attention on her outfit and lips, Sarah wore little makeup on the rest of her face. Perfectly executed.

Helena Bonham-Carter

Is it just us, or is Helena Bonham Carter never not in character? Her messy, avante-garde style was on display for the film’s premiere. As usual, Helena tossed her hair up into a messy updo with side swept tresses that grazed her brows. Her metallic eyes and red lips worked for her unique persona and we can’t be mad at that.

Anne Hathaway

If anyone knows how to pull off a sweet look, it’s Anne Hathaway. Anne, who plays Daphne Kluger in Ocean’s 8, wore a printed high neck frock that was the perfect summer preview dress. Just like Mindy, Anne wore her hair straightened and part down the middle. Her makeup, no makeup look was glowing and sweet, everything we love about Anne!

Cate Blanchett

For the Ocean’s 8 premiere, Cate Blanchett brought romance with a bit of edge to the red carpet. She wore a natural makeup look and a tousled shoulder length bob that showed off her earlobe detailing beautifully. We love a girl who pays attention to the little details.

Awkwafina

Finally, Awkwafina gave us futuristic, editorial vibes with her look for the film premiere. Skin was the name of the game with her makeup look, as she kept her face mostly bare and focused on her glittery gold lash. Nailing eye shadow looks on hooded eyelids can be difficult, so hats off to her amazing makeup artist for this incredible statement eye! Her bone straight, middle part look was well in theme with the looks of other leading ladies from that night. Festival makeup inspo af, for sure.
