Hold the phone, Ashley Graham is hosting season 2 of American Beauty Star! To say we are excited to have her on board is an understatement. Just in case you’re unfamiliar of who this stunning woman is, here are a few tidbits for you. She is an American model who broke on the scene back in 2000. Ashley made waves in the fashion industry during a time when curvy girls were barely seen in campaigns, ads, or on runways. A confident woman, she naturally became an advocate for body positivity and shattered all stereotypes of what beauty means for women. In other words, Ashley is a force to be reckoned with and that is why we could not think of anyone else to assume her role as host.

If you read our blog enough, you know that we love a good ol’ blunt bob haircut. For the 2018 MET Gala, Ashley debuted this edgy summer ‘do to our surprise! Ashley’s signature auburn hair coupled with her brown sequined gown was the perfect color combination, truly. Apart from a blunt bob haircut, we live for a monochromatic makeup look like what Ashley wore. She was every bit a trophy chick with gold eye shadow, heavily lined eyes, and matching gold lips. 10/10!
Real women have real curves
Remember when we said that Ashley Graham is a confident woman who naturally became an activist for body positivity? This picture explains why! Scrolling through Ashley’s Instagram, we are inspired to live our truths and love our bodies because she carries hers so beautifully!
An ANTM look for your nerves
Okay, since nobody is talking about it, we will. Ashley Graham is totally a fashion girl. Not only does she take risks, but her risks are never without reward! Take this sheer, sexy, yet structured all-black look, for example. Seriously, what waist?! One of the things we love about Ashley is that she is not afraid to show off her curves. In a world where curvy girls are encouraged to cover up, she wears hers proudly and elegantly! As if this look couldn’t get any better, Ashley’s glam was sultry, mysterious, and perfect! She wore a light pink, green, and purple smokey eye with nude lips, no less. Not only is Ashley the Queen of Instagram, but she is the queen of half up/half down dos that snatch your face to the beauty heavens! More is more and we’re glad Ashley never stops giving.
Invented little black dresses
Early in her career, the little black dress and barely there makeup were Ashley’s go-to look. When Ashley posted this image from her Marina Rinaldi collection, we were floored by her impeccable natural beauty. This freckle-faced beauty showed off her versatility once again with this natural beauty look. Sometimes groomed eyebrows, cat eyeliner, nude lips, and the right angle are all you need for the perfect shot. Ashley Graham proves this.

Don’t call it a throwback
Leading up to the 2018 Oscars, Ashley posted this throwback photo from the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscars After-Party. Basically, this photo is what people mean when they say “oldie but goodie“. Ashley was the lady in red that night and we’re pretty positive she stole the show! She wore a red cutout Bao Tranchi gown that showed off every curved she was blessed with. Besides her killer dress, her immaculate skin, makeup, and hair really pulled this look together. Her makeup artist gave her a dewy base, flirty lashes, and nude lips to match her sleek, side parted, wavy hair. Once again, 10/10!
